The service is horrible. They forgot part of my order, and kept passing by my table without even looking at me. Also, one of my rolls had plastic fuzz in it. When I finally flagged down my waitress she said she would ask the kitchen what it was. She came back when the meal was over and said oh it’s just plastic from the kitchen. She half-heartedly offered me a free salad.

This place is horrible to its servers. The tip pool is manipulated so that two experienced servers will receive 50% of it at maximum to split. It’s even worse for new servers. To get your compete half of the 50%, you have to work there for over 2 months until they arbitrarily decide you are “ready” to receive the 25% of the tip pool you worked for. They start you at 5% of the tip pool. 5%!! Worked there for a month (left for internship) and the most I received on a shift was 10%. I also had my tiny cash share of tips stolen, and the owner didn’t think it was her problem. The workers also are illegally told to take 1 hour breaks (unpaid), instead of the legal 30 minutes. To pile on, it is also very dirty. The same two rags are used to wash all the tables off throughout a shift. (Not washed in between) I wasn’t sure I wanted to post this, but I think that for new employees sake, and for customer transparency, this needs to be known.

It is either I misunderstood their spicy scales or they mess up my order. I ordered a mild spicy assorted tofu stew in this restaurant. This is what they called "mildly"- a bowl of chili red soup base. Last time they gave me a pinky soup base for the "no spicy" order.

Tldr: Great sushi with a lot of options! Really good buy 2 get 1 free deal too! Servers need to pay more attention to the order. Went here for dinner with my boyfriend after seeing the offer for buy 2 rolls get 1 free, and we were both pleasantly surprised. I prefer the simple items and ordered the vegetable roll and tuna roll, and both were amazing! I honestly liked the vegetable roll a lot more since it had the nice crunchiness, and I've now realized that that's my favorite sushi roll. My boyfriend got the California Tempura Roll and Baked Miso Salmon Roll. I tried the California Tempura first, and really liked that too, guess it was that nice crunch again, but I didn't take any more to avoid all those extra calories since it's fried. As far as the Baked Miso Salmon Roll goes, it looked comparatively quite tiny, and I didn't like the taste at all. It was not bit too soft for me. My boyfriend howry, loved it and said it was favorite among all of the rolls that night! This one did seem a little overpriced though since it was essentially a California roll with some salmon on top, and the extra $6 for just salmon seemed a bit much. In terms of the dining experience, the server was nice and polite. She did however, not see our order sheet correctly and never got us the Baked Roll. We asked her how long it would take since we'd already been waiting about 15 minutes after finishing the other 3 rolls, and she then went and looked over the order again. When she got us the check she said one roll had been waived in an 'im happy for you' voice, which made us think she waived that baked roll since we had to wait so long. Turned out she was just restating the buy 2 get 1 roll free offer that I had already asked her about when we entered. Got our hopes up and down in a span of 15 seconds!
